What is Valderama?
Well, basically it is just a nickname of me, interesting is the reason for that - there is a soccer player out there who I fell in love with when I first saw him. His growth of hair is absolutly adoreable and results in an phenomenal afro. And his name is Valderrama. To sum up, "valderama" is a symbol of individuality for me - expressed by the afro of Mr. Carlos Valderrama.
Who am I?
I grew up in a small valley in the Austrian Alps, namley Gastein. It's quite nice there, especially if you like mountains and nature. People from all over the world come to enjoy that in Gastein, so it can't be too bad for us locals as well. In winter I love to go snowboarding and skiing with my folks all day long and in summer hiking up the mountains is not a bad thing either. But... that is all what Gastein is about - at least for me and now.
So, where to continue... after grewing up, what in that sense ends by the age of 18, I was interrupted by an annoying thing called military service. The crazy people there hold me for useless 8 months, but you know, time goes by. Right after that a new life began. I became a student! Really cool, ha? I moved from my tiny village to another tiny village called Hagenberg in Upper Austria. There is an University of Applied Sciences and I enrolled in the programme "Mediatechnology and -design". Studying there is quite schizophrenic - on the one hand I love the educational part: quality of lectures, equipement and stuff like that. On the other hand there is not that much to do besides studying. But, looking back to that time, I realize that it was a really good time... I learned a lot, met some really cool people (rock on!) and also had a loads of fun.
Now I'm trying to speed things up, to reduce the risk of getting boring. After finishing my bachelor-degree I got drunken as hell (just kidding:) and then moved to Graz, in the south of Austria. A lot of my old folks from school were studying there, so I enjoyed the Student-life with them. At least a bit, as I was not studying there, but working at the University of Applied Sciences, Joanneum as a research assistant. During that year I started to look for a place where I can continue my study and get a Master-degree. I liked the idea of going abroad, and my girlfriend luckily as well, so we looked for a place together. Finally we ended up in Bremen in Germany which seemed to be a good compromise for both of us.. and as we are here for 2 months now, I can approve that! Bremen rocks!
